Approach
Elementary students continue with the Principle Approach® education. Placing the Word of God at the heart of each subject. Vanguard teaches students the 4 R’s, research, reason, relate, and record. Using the 4R method students learn how to reason through the content presented to them to reach a logical, biblical conclusion and application. Vanguard focuses on writing and essay, using primary sources.
Vanguard embraces a tutorial approach grounded in Biblical principles. Every child is unique and has unique needs in which they learn and grow. It is our goal to partner with you in developing the whole child-your child-academically, emotionally, and spiritually, no matter where they start on their journey with us.
Academics
Core subjects include: Bible, Reading, English, Literature, Math, Science, Providential History, and Geography
Using the Christian timeline as a main focus in HIStory, grade levels focus on different points on the timeline. The Christian timeline takes the students on a journey starting with Creation and how the chain of Christianity moved westward. From Moses and the Law to Jesus Christ, from Paul to the Bible in English, from Columbus to the Pilgrims, and concludes with the restoration of America. Students are taught this to understand the true history and Whom our nation was founded upon. Vanguard uses primary sources for History, Geography, and Literature to bring the curriculum to life.
